CHAGS11 conference

The 11th Conference on Hunting and Gathering Societies (#CHAGS11) is taking place in Vienna from 7th to 11th September 2015. This not the first time members of the SimulPast project participate in a CHAGS conference, but this year the conference has been particularly well-attended by the various teams in the SimulPast project:

V. Reyes-García is offering the second plenary, "Hunter-Gatherers in a Changing World," and a session of the same title. She is also presenting "Contemporary hunter-gatherers: do we need a new definition?". In addition, M. Álvarez and I. Briz are convening a session "Hunter-gatherer affluence: Social and material perspectives" and presenting "Lithic technology and consumption practices between hunter-gatherer societies from Isla Grande de Tierra del Fuego (South America)". Finally, D. Zurro, J. Caro and F.J. Miguel-Quesada are presenting "Sexual division of labour and differential cooperative tasks in hunter-gatherers: a study on social simulation" and "Modelling social norms on food sharing in forager societies".
